Artist Bio
Krit Sekhon
is an emerging Punjabi-Canadian visual artist in the Greater Toronto Area. She channels her creativity through acrylic painting on canvas along with mixed media elements such as photography and video, finding inspiration exploring Eastern and Western cultures within her art. Her work relies heavily on personal experience, emotions and memories.
Experimenting with themes such as social media, pop culture, family history and colonialism, Krit uses art as an outlet to understand her place in the world as a South Asian woman in the diaspora. She invites viewers to connect, understand, and appreciate the complexities of identity and belonging in today's multicultural society.
